subj=who needs the zoo

Went for a run along the beach today. I stopped for a walk on the pier in the next town. It was a gorgeous day, clear skies and sunny which was enough to let you work up a quick sweat in the 65 degree shine.
Anyway, along the pier you could notice the school of fish 'floating' below. The sterns were flocking and getting their easy feeding. That was a nice enough, when a couple of seals decided to join the party. The first wild seals I've seen, though probably not the last.
I have to get some picture of this place up.
Hope you're all doing well.

MSNBC - Free credit report details announced: "The free annual credit checkups were mandated by the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, signed into law last December by President Bush. The law includes a number of provisions designed to fend off identity theft, which hits millions of U.S. consumers each year."

"There was never even a thought that the court would say, 'A pox on you both.' What people should know is that getting a divorce is not a slam dunk."
SUZANNE K. BRACKER, a lawyer whose client and his wife were denied a divorce in New York.

Now that's funny.

It's even tougher now that the place is empty.
Relocation is imminent. My stomach is very heavy.

subj= best minority commentary on politics

Mr. Tavis Smiley a Los Angeles NPR/PBS Talk Show Host

This gentleman has made the most poinient facts about minority representation by a political party. I'll have to listen to him more once I move out west. His comments during the election day 'marathon' sparked me to the following research.

The current administration "rewarded" minority voter turnout with the appointment of Condoleeza Rice (National Security Advisor), Colin Powel (Secretary of State, by now a Republican staple), Alphonso Jackson (Secretary of Housing and Urgan Development), , Rod Paige (Secretary of Education),

The Clinton administration in retrospect had 3 minority cabinet members.
Heading the departments of Labor, Transportation and Veterans Affairs. Hardly as respectful a set of positions as with the current administration.

Whomever wins the current election will have to meet or exceed the current benchmark for 'rainbow' representation in our country's highest positions.

I would find it pressing for any minority to justify the continuous, across the board, support of the Democratic party if the Kerry administration does not populate its' cabinet ranks with a true representation of those who will have won the election for them.
